TAF carries out marine radio inspections and surveys on vessels in accordance with SOLAS Convention.

 

 

We test workings of all marine radio equipment VHF, SSB, GMDSS DSC, Inmarsat C & AIS with calibrated testing equipment including the testing of the 406 MHz EPIRBs, SART and ship’s batteries powering the radio equipment.

5. Which equipment need type approval?
 

All ICT apparatuses/equipment which connects directly to an ICT & telecommunication network and/or transmits radio waves is subject to TAF’s type approval requirements.
